Jesiah and Ellen Alexander ran Alexander Organics, a BioGro-certified organic dairy near Cambridge, milking 100 to 160 cows. Ellen is now a key figure in the Organic Dairy and Pastoral Group (ODPG). Using Farm Medix Herdscreen and Fresh Cow Dry Cow on-farm culturing, they reduced mastitis cases by about 20% in their first year and brought their herd average below 150,000 SCC.
